Cue "Saber Dance"

Wow, what a maelstrom of travel stuff!

Got a message fwded to us yesterday by one of the other families in our adoption group, with the travel facilitator saying to plan, but not buy airline tickets for arrival in China March 24 or 25. We can't get frequent flyer reservations that get in before the 27th, unless we travel on the 22nd (5 days off!). Posts on the Yahoo group are showing some of the other families making their reservations that early, but we're going to try [1] seeing if we can do better flying out of Chicago than Madison, or [2] going through Lotus Travel to buy special adoption packages. Between packing, list-checking, family arrangements, work (oh yeah ...), and imminent-parental-anxiety (not my favorite kind of IPA), we're just about bursting at the mental seams. It *is* going to work out, though, and now we'll get to see Violet on her birthday. Yay!

Told Claire that it's sure good that we have cordless phones, since I'd have pulled out all the jacks by now pacing around the house while I talk.

Even before this last schedule snag, I was feeling like the plate-spinner on the Ed Sullivan show. It's still that way, but now the dancing bears decided to come out on stage early.
